Verizon question.
If you send ringers and graphics to your Verizon phone via MMS, will you be able to save them to the phone and use them? I remember that a couple of years ago, Verizon crippled any type of function that would allow users to obtain free ringers and graphics in an effort to keep download revenues up.

Good to know. My AT&T contract is up next summer and I like them, but I want better coverage. My mom and I both have noticed how the coverage is getting worse. She used to have stellar coverage in her area, but now it's awful, and Verizon has her whole state covered, it is insane how big the difference is!

I have at&t and my co worker has verizon. If I send him something via bluetooth to his dare he can listen to it but it saves to his sound file and he cannot use it as a ringtone. Why??

What you have to do is to save the sound as a ringtone, not as a sound. Then you can use the sound as you like. I have the dare with a 8 gb card. I make my own ringtones, I have 300 mp3 and 2 movies on my card and it all plays on the dare.

There are some phones that won't allow you to save anything as ringtones, just as sounds. My sister still has a RAZR (she hates it) and all she does is complain about how she has to use the ringtones that came with the phone. I did everything I knew how to do (my whole family is really good with phones) and it just won't do it.

The razr software on the new versions have blocked this feature. It also stopped the phone from moving pictures from phone to memory card at one time. It will only allow moving one by one.

Why do people base what service they're going to use on ringtones and pictures? you can get ringtones for free from sites like mobile17.com anytime, so why do you need to have other pirate ringtones to you?
If you need cool tones so bad, they're only $3 apiece, buy them or upload them online.
As others have stated, you need to save them as ringtones and not sounds because sounds are pretty much useless.
