Traveling to the UK over the summer
I'm going to be in London for a week this summer. Is there a rental program through VZW, and how much is it going to cost?

I know that Verizon now has a Samsung phone and a Moto comming out that will work on the Vodaphone GSM network worldwide and works here on the VZW network. There should be info on their website regarding that option or you could call customer service about the rental. They uvesed to have a service that I looked into before going to London but it was expensice and the service they have now has a much cheaper per minute rate than the Globalphone or whatever it was called did.

also, how is their rates? cing and att charges $.99 a minute, will it be cheaper because of vodaphone?

Not good, just looked at their site and it's 1.29 a minute for Global phone and rental is 1.49 unless you are in premium countries. Come on Verizon you are 40% owned by Vodaphone and that's the best you have to offer?? I just went to Cingular and they charge tha same rate for the UK which is 1.29 a minute but no Rollover, hahaha
