Boulder recall!

OK, that got your attention, didn't it.

Seriously, though, how many complaints and to whom does it take to get a recall? As I've said, I like the idea of this phone and its construction, but battery and sound are so poor I imagine thousands will be complaining to Verizon.

Would they consider issuing a recall?

Doubt that there would be a recall, but one can hope. In reference to recall or not, remember the chocolate 8500?

Ok, we all get it, the phone sucks, this will not be the first nor the last phone to be rushed to market. Take it back, and try something else so we can all attempt to move on.

Theres no way in hell there will be a recall, they will prolly just try to fix whatever is ailing this phone before the next batch.

I talked him out of it, he has been reading phonescoop the last few days and I think he is going to wait. He said he might try the adventure, but he is not quite sure yet.

You said you liked the moto right?

Sorry for taking up your forum space with the rant, but I have neither the budget nor the desire to "get over it" at the rate of 18 phones in 10 years like you did. (Plus, I'm locked into Verizon because of work discount and the fact that, where I live, it's by far the best reception -- plus InCalling).

I was in a Verizon store today, and they have the Boulder all over their new posters and other promotional stuff. The people there were very unhelpful in recommending other phones, and kept suggesting I "try another Boulder." -- I made calls with two others and got the same shoddy quality.

The Adventure seems decent; the hinge is a little weak, but any one know about battery life? Feels like I could live with that phone.

Again, the r...

I believe the hinge design is like that for a reason, my nextel ic502 was like that and it is to give the phone a little play, to help with the durability aspect of it....and I never had a problem with it. Get the Adventure is just a fantastic phone. The standard battery is just fine for calling and texting, but if you are serious about using the PTT, get the extended. The Adventure is really tougher then it looks, I'm putting it through its paces, and I'm very impressed.

I know that Boulder sucking sucks but maybe they will get it right next batch, stupid verizon. Get the Adventure! Good Luck!

"maybe they will get it right next batch, stupid verizon. Get the Adventure! Good Luck!"

I know, that's what I'm saying. I'll be screwed if they perfect the Boulder, bec. I like its design and construction better.

BTW I like the line: "I know that Boulder sucking sucks."

hey I wrote what I wrote, because there is a ton of threads about the boulder and the adventure. Pick the one that works best for you and move on.

And I have no idea how me having 18 phones in 10 years snuck into the conversation.

How bright is the backlight on the keypad of the Adventure? I am very picky about this, had the LG VX 8350, and it also had a white lit keypad, but was very dull. How is this one? Did anyone evr have a Nokia? How is that type of phone. The Nokia 6205, the blue and silver one is being launched Aug.12th. I will check that one out before I make my decision. I think I ruled out the Boulder. I am really gearing towards the Adventure. Any info from someone who owns the Adventure would be greatly appreciated!! ๐Ÿ˜•

that would be something if they did issue a recall.

Returned mine last night couldn't deal with the crappy speaker anymore. If they ever figure it out I would go back in a second, I loved the features of the phone but if it doesn't work as a phone then what is the point.

Agreed. In fact, I have about 3 1/2 weeks left to return mine via FedEx, so I'll pretty much have to. And if they re-release it with a better battery and good speaker, then I'm going to be pissed. Might require major letter-writing at that point.

Hey, it might be a good phone to wean somebody off talking on their cell too much -- it's too frustrating to hold a conversation.

One more note, and another reason I won't simply shrug this one off, is I have to spend an additional $20 to return it. I'll be writing and calling VZW until that gets refunded.

So, if I were to return it via FedEx and ask for my NE2 credit back, then wait a few weeks and order another phone ... no $20 charge? Wouldn't everyone do this if so?
