Warranty Exchange

Hey There...

I used to work for data device warranty exchange with At&t (evil I know) but I've always had Verizon service (bad coverage for every other company).
Anywho, I currently have the VX-6700 and the sound is gone (no ringing or speakerphone)..done a soft and hard reset..nothing fixes it. Done all the updates. So, I'm still (barely) w/in my 1 year warranty (I think). I'm going to call and try to get a replacement. My question is..does Verizon have the similar 3 strikes rule? I've had several replacements with this phone (touchscreen broke etc)..however, they were with asurion and probably won't count towards my 3 strikes. (Got last replacement from them on 2/11)..this brings on another question...Asurion (i believe) won't replace...

You'd be pushing that 1 year warranty pretty close at this point (I don't remember when the phone stopped being sold). If you have the $5.99/month insurance then that's no issue because the warranty is extended, or depending on your price point. Anyway, the "three strike policy" is three times within ninety days by VZW. However, also depending on your price plan and last upgrade, you could very well just do the smart thing and move yourself up in models. Also, if there are no replacements of the 6700 left...you could be moved up.
