A CSR is a representative. That is entry level. A supervisor is a few levels above a representative. You sound like you are one or perhaps two steps below a supervisor.

Hope this helps.

How does the hierachy work with Alltel?

depends on the call center. Most call centers have a Rep, Sr Rep, CS Coordinator, then Sup

Rep = Entry level
Sr Rep = can add higher credit limits or different incomings based on account type. Business, Employee, Personal.
Coordinator = lead depending on center

rep - entry level, tech support basic troublshooting and customer service for consumer and small business

sr rep - takes reg rep calls plus has senior voice troubleshooting training and takes more advanced calls, can issue higher credits, can work with other departments on offline projects, can work with transition and even take escalated calls (cannot however open any employee acct, there is an employee phone team strictly for that purpose)

coords - tier II or data reps does all of the above and advanced troubleshooting, pda's, PC cards, wireless sync etc

I would agree that it would suck! ☚ī¸
If you think about it and depending on what actually happens during the merger, going back to taking calls will be the best way for you to learn the VZW processes. Without the basics, you would not be prepared to handle the escalation calls. I am hoping that a large portion of the Alltel CS reps stay on board. with the additional customer base, VZW will need more people on the phones. I wish I had more info for you, but nobody on our level knows what is going to happen. We can only speculate .... and most of the time we will be wrong 😉
