I have two lines on the 69.99 family plan with 700 min. ONe of the two lines has txt for 10. Is it possible to get unlimited texting just on that one line? The other line does not use texting (Grandma).

I also have another family plan where my line has the unlimited everything and the other two lines just have unlimited texting. That Was nice because it brought the cost down, and the other two lines don't need gps, and stuff like that.

I don't want to pay for texting another line is definatly not going to use!

no. it's not possible. you can do all sorts of combinations though, in your case, 20.00 for unl in 5000 non vzw would probably be fine. unless you think you'll go over 5k, then that sucks haha. other option is converting the fam share to 2 single lines. let's say 34.99 for 300 mins each but that does'nt include in talking so that sucks. so you're better off doing the 20.00 or 30.00 (unl for both) extra more.

Technically, it IS possible. If you subscribe to the unlimited messaging for family share plans, the cost is $30 higher than just having the basic plan (minutes only). Any qualified customer service representative can block text messaging on any of the secondary lines on any family share that has the unlimited messaging. For instance, if you are the one doing all the texting and you are the primary line, then with the unlimited messaging plan you would have unlimited messaging (therefore the name) and grandma being one of the secondary lines could have the messaging blocked on her line. Under the new T&C's it doesn't extend your contract when you change your plan.

That would work but I don't think it is what he is looking for. He was hoping that he could pay for the unlimited on just his line and not have to pay for something that she is not going to use. But he would be paying for something she is not using in that case.

Right now VZW does not offer an unlimited option for just 1 line of a family share. It's for all lines. So if the $20 package doesn't work then I would just pay the extra $30 a month for unlimited and teach grandma how to text 🙂

No. It is not possible. Unfortunately the Select plans have unlimited text included for both lines on it. You may want to consider a Select individual plan and then putting her on a 65 plus plan if she is old enough to qualify. Just a thought. 🙄
