Ok, so I have had the EnV phone since March '07. I am on my third replacement of this phone. Does this phone have a known issue of freezing up, and also powering down constantly when doing any type of internet app. IM, vcast, chat. It's really beginning to get on my nerves. I really like this phone in general for text purposes, but that alone is driving me nuts.

I've run into the issue three times, though I don't think it's a "known" issue. Try these fixes: 1) *228, option 1, pull the battery while the phone is resetting (this will reset the lock code to default, last 4 of you number). 2) If that doesn't work, get the software updated (most direct VZW stores can do it) and have the store tech check for any other possible causes. While those two fixes usually work, replacement may be the only fix. Hope this helps.

Yes, it is a known issue. Please take your Env to your nearest store with a technician. There are two different kinds of "upgrades" available for the EnV's that a technician should perform on your phone. One is a "software upgrade", and the other is a "software patch". Both should help you immensely. The entire process a technician goes through takes about 30-45 minutes.
