Yeah I forgot about the Startec ... Motorola's best phone. 8300 is anyone's safest bet.

I agree on the E815. Probably the last great phone motorola put out for Verizon.

The LG 9900 and 8300 remain my all time favourite VZ phones, with the 9800, 8100 and 8700 putting in honorable mentions.

There are some older phones that did well, but were either before my time or just not as good as the ones I listed.

the 8700 was terrible. the battery life was awful and so was the reception. just bc it is an LG doesn't mean it is awesome

Of course not, but it's my LG and it worked great for me. People's experiences have been all across the board on the 8700, but I only care about mine when I give my opinion.

Absolutely no question:

Motorola E815

Audiovox CDM-9900

No unnecessary frills, just great phones.

Moto e815: best reception ever. Razrs almost as good. Why oh why didn't Motorola tout this about their phones, so they wouldn't need to sell off the phone business?

One problem with the e815: Upgrading. All those newer phones' PDA features are so tempting. But who wants to trade down to lesser call performance?

Can any Verizon phone be considered "best" ATT leftovers at best are the most coveted. Curve, RAZR

"Best and Verizon phones in the same sentence are pretty much mutually exclusive...Ya Think?

hahaha.

After reading the posts on this thread, it sure sounds like the following are the best phones for VZW that are not available on other carriers (to my knowledge) -

Motorola E815
LG-VX8300

1) have1 almost new one as back up, thinking about ebay(i personally was never a fan, reception good but not godlike as many describe on here, both of mine dropped calls a lot(moto signal meter is full of it, 2 bars drop call, but on lg i have 0-1 bars and never drop?)

I currently have the voyager on my line and a pearl for work. I love the voyager(especially after the update) The pearl is nice but after getting used to a full keyboard i am not diggin the sure type crap....

e815 (made the v710 look ablut as reliable as a RAZR.)

vx7000 (if only it had speakerphone)

vx8100/vx8300 (too bad intenna technology isn't perfected yet, I like the vx8350)

vx9800 (my wife's had this thing since it's released. never did the firmware/software whatever upgrade so it can play mp3's still)

Samsung's a670 (that's right I only say this cause I have so many customers that swing through are store that STILL have this phone. I have no idea why this phone is loved but it is.)

Of the current cohort of phones I would say BEST seller's, least returns, customer satisfaction seem to be the best are: Alias, enV, u410, and vx8350
