Question About vx7000

Hello. I need to know if the vx7000 will be discontinued to make way for the 8000 or if the price will just drop lower. I need to know ASAP because I don't want to miss out on getting one if they discontinue it but I don't want to have to pay retail unless I have to.

NO the 7000 will not be retired when the 8000 launches, as far as a price drop, nothing in the very near future, it is currently 129.99 after a $50 mail in rebate, the 8000 launched today (feb 1st) and is 199.99 after a $70 MIR
