Bad business model for consumers

Have you tried to use VZ Navigator?
Tred to stop using it?

Well... VZW certainly is getting too big and too 'fat'. It became another big utility company.

I find continued charges on VZ navigator on th bill after canceling the service. I called VZW and asked what's going on? Alison, who tried to use intimidating voice said that VZW will continue to charge unless the application is removed from the device. Of course, I was never told that. You cancel the service but they continue to charge... It's like landline phone company charging for phone service until you physically move your phone from your house...

Sad thing is they are getting away with it... Time to write to attoney general's office and FTC.

My thoughts exactly! I mean, c'mon. You download it on the phone. It's not something that any employee can magically add through a computer. Therefore, like any other app, you have to delete it or be charged for it.

don't all cell companies do this...att was notorious for adding things like insurance on for one month--the leaving it on there till the customer called in. It happened to several of my friends and even my sister was victimized!

I really have no idea why you post in the forum. You are completely worthless and spew a bunch of nonsense.

Is the att forum that boring that you need to troll here? This is the VERIZON forum. Where people who have VERIZON are supposed to be able to ask questions and share info about VERIZON...not listen to you talk about att or how verizon is such a horrible company.

If I gave you some money out of my wallet--would you leave and never come back to this forum?

Seriously...just stop posting here.

maybe you should actually READ your contract before you sign it dumb ass. Instead of being anxious to play with your new phone, read the feature on your account. IF you sign the paper, your paying for the charges. stop bitching.

If you canceled it mid month it will show up on one more bill. You can call in if you need help removing the app from the phone. Unless its a blacberry then only we can remove the billing feature. If you call in again we can verify in the system if it shows the app has been removed.

As everyone else has said...grow up and remove the feature from your phone. That's like saying "i don't know why I'm being charged $3.99 a month for tetris!" Well..YOU clicked that wonderful little option that said "subscription" which means BILLED MONTHLY until you cancel it. The FTC will laugh at you. The attorney general will forward your complaint to the company and the company gets to decide what to do with you...and they'll probably laugh at you. They're ALL going to laugh at you.

How is letting the consumer have control over when a feature is added and removed from thier bill a bad business model? Sounds like there can be no chance of miscommunication and blame can be placed on no one other than the user of the phone.

FTC.

Actually, it is more like having cable TV and assuming that the cable company will stop billing you because you haven't turned on your TV...how do they know you don't want it anymore?...you are the same guy would get mad if VZW did turn off the service and you had to redownload the app.
