i've had my voyager for couple weeks now battery life started good now i'm happy if i make it thru the day with it.

for example last night charged it all the way then took if off of the charger around 10 pm, it was "in standby" till about 7 am and then i've started to use it. about 100 txt messages, 30 mins of web, 30 mins calls and about 20 mins of tv and it was dead by 6 pm. we're talking about 12 hours of on/off usage ....is it too much to ask from standard battery or that's as good as it gets?

any info is appreciated

well i to have a similar problem. i take my phone off the charger at 7:30 am for school. The only thing I use on my phone at school is texting and by the end of the day at 3:00 pm i usually only have 2 bars of battery left. I dont know about most people but to me that sucks!

Part of the reason your battery may seem to go dead quickly is if you are in an area with little or no service, and schools are notorious for not having good service. The problem is that your phone is working overtime trying to get and maintain a signal. Since it is doing this, it is using battery life quickly.

it doesn't matter if your work area has full coverage if you work in an office building with no coverage. Where I work there is plenty of coverage for every network, but once I go into my office, it goes down to zero. I have to charge my phone daily same as you after 12 hours, but weekends it lasts the entire weekend without charging.

i could see what you mean, alot of students have a hard time sending text or calling out. On average though with my phone I usually have 3 bars for both 1x and EVDO. But what I do notice is even at times when I have plenty of signal I can't ever send a text! Both at school and home and sometimes while I'm out. Sry bout that side track but it might be something that's causing the battery to die quicker?

I'd say it's a lot of usage.

I use my phone for texting & internet all day and found the battery is at about 2bars at night. I removed the vibrate, adjusted screen backlight but I do work at a VZW call center so its at 4bars for 1x & EVDO so not sure how much the signal affects it. I'm thinking about getting ext battery.
