E-mail and web for $30
Blackberry Solution Unlimited Access $44.99
What is the difference? I just want to browse the internet unlimited w/o KB usage. Can't I go with the $30 plan? Do you think Verizon will ever include messaging in the blackberry pricing like the other carriers?
Just preparing myself for when the Curve comes out.

Sounds like the $30 package would be fine. You would only need the $44.99 if you needed BES.

Ok that's good. The only reason I'm getting a Blackberry Curve is because I don't want to pay 44.99 for data on a treo or Q. I heard Verizon has internal information about it being released this Spring.

Just out of curiosity, why Blackberry in general? I was looking at the Pearl and the Voyager when they came out, myself. I use my phone for web and to check my gmail. For that, the Voyager works for me and only costs me $15 for VCAST

I like Blackberry OS and I like the pricing compared to PDA 44.99. I have an LG 8700 and web is horrible on it.
...
Yeah, I'm not a fan of WAP either. I used to think differently, but after using the Voyager, I could NEVER go back to WAP
...
How is the Voyager's browser? I tried it one time and didn't like it. Windows Mobile is a lot better for web browsing.

It has it's moments, but for the most part, I like it. I had to set it up for 'screen optimized', though. Side scrolling is a pain in the arse. Other than that, my only complaint is that the pages seem to load slower than the PDA's

A blackberry is a PDA and a voyager is not. In my opinions its just a more versatile phone when you look at all you can do with it. BB's have a great calendar, sync flawlessly with both mac and PC's, and I typically get my emails faster on my BB than on my gmail.
I use a BB 8830 and I actually laughed when one of my friends asked if I would get the voyager when it came out. The voyager is a cool phone. But the Blackberry truly makes my life easier and more efficient. Give the pearl a trial run, I bet you'll like it!

That's the thing, I don't need a phone to do all of that. I browse the internet and check email...aside from talking and texting, of course. I do use my calender but only for important reminders. I don't use it to schedule my life. I usually only use it for b-days, anniversaries, and concert dates.
With what the OP said he was going to use it for (web browsing and email), it sounded to me like he has the same mindset I had. I don't need the push email. The only email I need to get quickly is the email I get when I'm at working. I don't need to access it outside of the office.
Don't get me wrong, I love Blackberry and will probably end up with one the next time around, but at this point, the Voyager makes the most sense for me.
