What do you all think about Sprint and their new plans? Besides the usual giving away the farm and titanic statements.

Today Sprint unveiled its own version of the $99 unlimited plan. Unlike the plans announced last week by other wireless carriers, Sprint's plan includes unlimited voice, data, SMS messages, email, Web, Sprint TV, Sprint Music, GPS navigation, DirectConnect and Group Connect. The plan is called Simply Everything, and is available to both CDMA and iDEN customers. Customers will be able to switch to the new plan without extending their current contracts. Sprint will also offer an unlimited everything plan for family lines as well for an incremental $5 discount for each additional line. Interested customers can contact cust...

I think it doesn't go far enough. Lets face it Sprint is not doing well, IMO they should have come in with a lower price point, something to set themselves apart from the others. It's a great deal, and those business users that enjoy Sprint well certainly enjoy all these added perks, but did Sprint go far enough?

Undercutting the competition (if you consider Sprint "competition") only emphasizes the lack of value the company offers its customers. Sprint did this with 7 o clock nights and lost customers and revenue due to the sub par service. Then Nextel offered maximum $125 deposits; again the company lost revenue after attracting the credit challenged market. Now by undercutting VZW and ATT, Sprint is decreasing its value AGAIN by undercutting the competition's price and marketing to low credit customers, and I'm interested to see their results later this year. Good Luck

I don't think they went far enough; I would have liked to see a lower initial price, with bolt-ons possible.

Really...What is it that you hate?
I don't believe you have ever used a REAL Nokia. Not the Pantech re branded ones...or the low end phones. If you had in fact used a full featured Nokia you would realize what a ridiculous statement you just made.

They are the largest phone seller for good reason.
And you rarely if ever see an ad for a Nokia phone. They sell on their own merit, not some slick marketing plan and slogan. Thats the way one SHOULD buy products. Find the ones who do not need a huge advertising budget to sell their products.

The best products are those people buy based on word of mouth. Sony and Nokia phones are such products. Apple is not.

Sprint is STILL profitable. That doesn't sound like a company going out of business.

They just are not making as much. I believe Sprint will be a viable company going forward and I recently bought some cheap Sprint Stock for
a L O N G term. They are worth $18 a share in asset value alone if they sold their assets.

A couple hundred shares won't break the bank and will be fun to watch.

And? They are at $7 today. What's your point? I have had st0cks like APA that fell 20% last year and at are reaching new highs today. Companies can and do turn around everyday.

I bought some shares in a well know company in 2002 for $1.60 a share......A fibre optic well known name company. Corning.....1400% later.

I don't think Sprint will enjoy that kind of rise. But I do believe it will achieve $10 a share at some point. Thats a 30% gain from today. If it takes two easr thats 10% a year. Not bad.

$10 a share? They were trading at over $27 a share less than a year ago. They are projected to lose another 1.2 million customers this quarter. Buy now Joe while the stock is still high 🤣 🤣

Oh and "a healthy Verizon fell nearly 30% in a month.....So what?

YOu don't invest in companies worrying about day to day gyrations.

YOu are treading in an area you obviously know very very little about. Short term Stock prices are determined by gamblers. Long term prices are enjoyed by investors based on belief in the fundamentals and leadership. I am not high on Sprint's fundamentals, But I do like their new CEO and believe it's an easy 30%. Besides I only bought a couple hundred shares. Not exactly a financial catastrophe is they became worthless.

i agree. dan hesse is repsonsible for the little things as consumers we take for granted. like unlimited internet at a fixed rate. wireless plans without roaming charges or long distance charges. i have never liked sprint but their new ceo has done some amazing things and we as customers have benifited from it.
