Do you like Verizon;'s smart phone line-up? It looks pretty weak compared to Sprint, my bro has the vx6800 and he can't even use slingbox! 😲 !! plus he has to pay 45 bucks for data alone! 😕

Meanwhile I'm kicking with my Touch with unlimited unrestricted data, and unlimited txt and 500 min for 30! You guys like that?

Did you see the ACE for Sprint, is verizon getting that?

grow up sorry but this childish crap is stupid. People choose to pay more or get restricted data. And sorry but when you post 2mill net adds to sprints 700k you tend to be doing something right!

Who care about net adds 😕 I care about what I get for my money! you might think verizon net add makes them better, but I certainly do not. Anyways care to answer any questions, or did you just want to cry about my post?

You're question is ridiculous and its only going to start a flame war about who is better. Look, we all get it, Sprint gives away the farm in terms of data prices. But the coverage is not as good and their customer service is an absolute joke. Some people value these things more than being able to "sling" the latest TV show on their pda.

Your post didnt really say anything we didnt all already know. If you enjoy sprint, good for you! But everyone here is most likely satisfied with verizon.

And net adds do matter to a lot of people on this website. And what it means is that verizon is a better option for millions of people. Sprint is a failing company and I dont see any end in sight

Wow your views are colored kool aid red! Their coverage is just as good 🙄 and people who really enjoying doing everything with their phone enjoy slingbox, and unlimited data at a fair price!! This wasn't about sprint, just pointing out some painful differences, i guess you're happy with verizon..cool!

there are things I dont like about verizon, but I guess I value coverage and customer service more than being able to do things like slingbox. And trust me, very few people really care about being to sling on a phone. I better you fewer than 10 percent of the population even knows what a slingbox is.

And my blackberry data is only $30, I think thats pretty fair and its the same as att. Sprint is cheap as hell but the company is failing, what does that tell ya?

Verizon has always been good to me, so I will continue to support them and I truly feel that they are the best all around carrier. Whether you're a phone junkie or a novice. Verizon prolly has something to offer you.

Sprint has had hard times with churn on the Nextel side, they overloaded the network in 06 (boost cuties) and fixed the situation, but unfortunately they were to late, and lost many faithful Nextel business customers. The churn is not on the Sprint side of things. You're just jumping on the bandwagon with Sprint cs sucks, they're the worse...when in fact it's really not that bad, and improving considerably everyday. I like slingbox so who cares about who knows about it. We're all cell geeks on here, so I was just curious how well you guys like your smart phone line-up..I mean waiting on the Touch must be painful. And 45 bucks is ridiculous amount of money to pay for restricted data! Glad you like verizon, but with Sprint 30 bucks gets unlimi...

I have used sprint personally and have friends that have it (and most of them hate it). So my opinions come from personal experience. We are all phone junkies on here, and of course we want cheaper, less restricted data, but to do that, we would have to leave vzw and go to (IMO) an inferior carrier. Hey, if sprint works for you, then enjoy! For now, im gonna stick with vzw and hope that the curve comes out soon, lol

PTT is meaningless for most. If they didn't have m2m then ok. Or if you can PTT with other carriers for free then your saying something.

Not with the new PTT, do you know what you will be able to push? And who cares if it's not useful to some 😕 if it's useful to me, oh and the other 18 million of peeps! 🙂 I don't think First Responders think it meaningless!

If verizon works so great in your area you really should encourage all your friends to get off Sprint, and join verizon. Oh wait you can't get your emails from your BB because verizon sucks in your house LOL

sprint wouldn't work either. And there's dead spots everywhere, I just got unlucky and happen to live in one. Its manageable and I would still choose vzw over any other carrier despite the fact that it doesnt work well in my home.

They have a hard time in both sides. And that is why they are so cheap. Once they turn around or are adding 2 mill a quarter they won' tbe so cheap. Why because they don't have to be. Net adds means allot to people and they mean everything to a carrier and their stockholders. I go with who is better for me and me only. If its verizon then so be it if its sprint so be it. Right now its alltel. Numbers mean allot when you add 2 mill and have the lowest churn that means most are satisfied with their choice. Sprint has the lowest adds and highest churn right now so they are not doing anything right. You can read allot out of just numbers.
...
BROWN27

Feb 17, 2008, 10:24 PM
Numbers don't mean anything to the average consumer, and you being a Sprint customers of 7 years should now that their network is second to none, yet consumer reports dogs on them because of their bad reputation, not because of an inferior network. I know what's good, and Sprint is it!
...

Feb 17, 2008, 10:30 PM
yes it does to someone with a brain. 2 million pick verizon every quarter and most stay with them. Only 300 to 800k choose sprint and jsut as many leave so that tells me allot and someone has to be an idiot if it doesn't tell them something.

And yes you are right I loved sprints network. But my point is your making a statement to start a war that sprint by every account will not come out on top at this point in time. Network wise they are equal in my thinking with maybe sprint coming out on top with Data only. But verizon is catching up fast with coverage on that. And number tell you what people really want. ANd what they want is whatever verizon and att for that matter is offering them or doing to get their business.

Millions bought into VHS over the Betamax even though the Betamax was far superior.

People don't ususally KNOW whats better. They follow the herd and suck from the marketing teat.

Do you know there are pretentious people who actually believe Verizon is a more prestigious carrier and have it solely for that reason?

Those are the Phone wavers you speak of. UNless one has a RAZR most phones are non descript and rarely even seen in public. The BT earpieces are though.

So what makes a carrier the best?
Phone's?
Plan's?
Coverage?
Customer Service?
Word of Mouth?
Media/Media Awards?
JD Power?
Consumer Report?
# of Customers/Churn?
Confidents in the company?

It's obvious no carrier takes the cake with all of the above but Verizon does pretty trying to meet the criteria. In some area T-mobile is tops, in others AT&T or Sprint based on what you like/need. There is no point in being a Cheerleader for your company in some other carrier's forums. Beside half the people that come here or post probably work for Verizon.

Who cares that verizon employees post in here, why would I care about that 😕 Anyways care to take a stab about Verizon and their smart phone line-up, what's working for you, or what you'd like to see. Any comments about the 45 dollar price, with no slingbox ability, etc! I mean 45 is decent amount of flow, for data with limitations. Is verizon getting the ACE?..my bro would like to know.

About the smartphone lineup. I personally have the i760 and love it. I have no problem paying $45 a month for data that works where and when I need it to (Sprint does not) and I really couldn't give a rats less about slingbox. I would like to see a bit better selection in the smartphone area for my other customers, but I am quite pleased with my phone & data plan.

oh come on people bought into VHS because it was smaller and it could hold more hours of video. As with most everything else people want quantity over quality.

Lets take it today. Blue ray or HDDVD. blue ray will win why its better.

Blue Ray players are coming down too they were 500 now down to 350 to 400 and falling. Wait another year or two they will be 200. And if HDDVD doesn't die they have a player that plays both. So the beta vhs thing is mute in this day and age.

The "right" thing you are doing is paying for good marketing.....Like the VHS group did years ago.

Sometimes the herd is not right.......STRENGTH COMES WITH NUMBERS.....Not necessarily knowledge.

Sprint = horrible upgrade policies...terrible customer service (I have had to call in 4 to 5 times until I could even talk with someone that spoke English). They are purging customers for a reason...they don't spend the money to retain what they have. So they whore out products just to get customers in to replace. Why can't they just take good care of what they already have. I remember when I used to sell Sprint and Verizon, I cringed when a Sprint customer came in and wanted to do an uprade. With VZW it was smooth as silk, no "processing" fees and same pricing (or better) as a new customer. Sprint had all these confusing charts, a fee to process the upgrade, and gave new customers the best phone prices.

Totally a shaft. Also they ...
