Feb 14, 2008, 12:45 PM
I really hope they change giving away the farm. They can get rid of all the employees they want. but they need to worry more about customers like you.

BROWN27

Feb 14, 2008, 12:47 PM
sero is available to everyone wom, i am still a profitable customer. i have 3 sero lines. the only thing they gave me is pick 3 and five pm nights.
...
wombough

Feb 14, 2008, 12:49 PM
yeah I know it is but that is half their problem. And it will go away soon. And why is this in the verizon forum? Should be in the sprint one or do you jsut want to cause a argument.
...
BROWN27

Feb 14, 2008, 12:51 PM
no just want to see if anyone has a special verizon plan.
...
wombough

Feb 14, 2008, 12:53 PM
Verizon has 60 million and making money for a reason. They don't need to offer those type of plans.
...
BROWN27

Feb 14, 2008, 12:55 PM
so sprint offers sero because they suck? or why you think they do?
...
wombough

Feb 14, 2008, 12:57 PM
they offer it because they are in desperate need of subscribers. They don't suck as a network. They suck as a company. Which is in the first stages of getting turned around.
...
BROWN27

Feb 14, 2008, 12:59 PM
well im glad they suck right now because my plan kicks ass, and i have zero network issues at all..and get service when my verizon friends don't..and go figure even indoors!

They've been "getting turned around" since before they bought Nextel.

Feb 14, 2008, 1:13 PM
No they haven't. you need a new CEO for that. Which they just got.
...
BROWN27

Feb 14, 2008, 1:14 PM
Sprint cs is really turning around, i have seen the changes first hand..they are a new Sprint now!
...
wombough

Feb 14, 2008, 1:15 PM
its not CS that was my problem. It was them just changing my plan without no notice and costing me over 60 a month more.
...
BROWN27

Feb 14, 2008, 1:16 PM
what the hell did they do?
...
wombough

Feb 14, 2008, 1:20 PM
I had 2000 anytime 3 phones unl text unl vision nights at 7. It was a 2003 plan and they dropped my unl text and unl vision and added it perline at 15.00 each for each phone. Honestly it was more then 60.00 at the time.
...
BROWN27

Feb 14, 2008, 1:23 PM
damn that is weak..im surprise you didn't fight to get it back.. retentions or executive service or a bunch of other numbers could have put those right back for you..but i could see y u would be pissed if they just yanked it away...i woulda got it all back!
...
wombough

Feb 14, 2008, 1:25 PM
I did trust me. They fixed the vision but would not budge on the free text. I talked to about 20 different people. but what bothered me was they did it with no notice. We used over 3000 texts each phone and they didn't add a text plan to the phones when they dropped it and didn't' tell me. If I wasn't one of those people that checked online my bill would have been huge. 9000 texts at .15 cents each ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

Unlimited calling, unlimeted text, unlimited internet, 50 dollar download credit a month, and an unlimited EVDO rev-A card for 14.95 a month......
...
robtheman

Feb 14, 2008, 12:58 PM
I used to sell Sprint. It was awful. I worked in a location that sold Verizon and Sprint. The only time I ever sold Sprint was when Verizon's credit check came back with a max deposit. With Sprint, it was either a small deposit or no deposit. I had a really bad experience with them in every other aspect.
...
wombough

Feb 14, 2008, 1:00 PM
Thats funny I heard allot of people say sprint wanted a deposit and not verizon. Go figure. Guess it all depends.

Feb 14, 2008, 1:09 PM
This was several years ago. The system that we used was full of bugs and didn't have all the plan options in it. About half the time, you would have to call in to complete an activation. We had a dealer line that we could call to skip automated menus and get straight through to someone to resolve the issue for us. You know what the average hold time was? About 45 minutes. I still haven't forgiven Sprint for that. If I can help it, I'll never sign up for their service.
...
wombough

Feb 14, 2008, 1:11 PM
companies change as with people. I am having trouble forgiving sprint for what they did to me. But close.
...
BROWN27

Feb 14, 2008, 1:13 PM
there are kinds of direct no hold time numbers, you just gotta know them!
...
robtheman

Feb 14, 2008, 1:25 PM
Mmhmm...I had one. I was on hold for 45 minutes at a time.
...
BROWN27

Feb 14, 2008, 1:38 PM
u had the wrong one things have change, they really have.
...
robtheman

Feb 14, 2008, 6:19 PM
I actually went through a couple. Every time I got my hands on one of those "no hold" numbers, they worked well for about a week. Then you were back to 45 minute hold times.

Feb 14, 2008, 12:46 PM
pffft who the heck CAN beat that? that's just crazy. but verizon has the best NETWORK!! haha.
...
wombough

Feb 14, 2008, 12:48 PM
I don't get it you all brag about what you got. verizon won't beat that because their not stupid to add people or give people stuff that will cost them money and not make some.
...
BROWN27

Feb 14, 2008, 12:48 PM
nah i don't think so i have traveled from one end of this county to the other, sprint has more coverage than verizon..look at both maps!
...
wombough

Feb 14, 2008, 12:50 PM
yeah yeah coverage is a non issue with the roaming agreements in this day and age.
...
BROWN27

Feb 14, 2008, 12:51 PM
exactly and saying verizon is the best, is like saying sprint is the worse..it ain't so!
...
wombough

Feb 14, 2008, 12:52 PM
my point. I have alltel and they are in only 32 states. I have coverage in all 50. And evdo were alltel and sprint have evdo. So carrier's coverage is meaningless except for starting service with them.
...
BROWN27

Feb 14, 2008, 12:54 PM
what happens when you move to a state that doesn't have native alltel, do you have to switch or roaming charges or what?
...
robtheman

Feb 14, 2008, 12:56 PM
Does anyone still charge for roaming?
...
wombough

Feb 14, 2008, 12:59 PM
YES. Alltel does but they only charge in areas that a verizon or sprint phone would not work at all. And no Alltel does not have a 50/50 rule and all options as mycircle and m2m are available regardless if your on their network or not. I have friends that are stationed in Cali and kept their alltel serivce and has had it for 2 years now. Cali does not have alltel.
...
BROWN27

Feb 14, 2008, 1:04 PM
do you see yourself leaving altell then? i still do not get if you live in a state that doesn't provide altell service how you can continue on with them..what i am i missing.
...
wombough

Feb 14, 2008, 1:06 PM
Well my fam lives in SC and they have it there. I am in cali waiting to leave for Iraq and it works great and I have access to sprints EVDO here. Allot of fam have Alltel in SC and mycircle is great so no I don't see me leaving alltel even if I move.
...
BROWN27

Feb 14, 2008, 1:08 PM
thats cool..so as long as you can roam off verizon or sprint..it is like using your reg anytime min? with no roaming charges?
...
wombough

Feb 14, 2008, 1:11 PM
with any carrier they have a agrenment with. Which is allot. But only sprint and them share EVDO.
...
BROWN27

Feb 14, 2008, 1:16 PM
cool i am to much into dc, unlimited data and wimax..but if i wasn't it seems like altell could be a nice fit.
...
wombough

Feb 14, 2008, 1:18 PM
never understood DC. I like at least half my conversation private. And I may choose wimax when and if they get it out.

I did here a rumor alltel may team up with sprint on wimax. but that could be a big rumor.

I would be paying more with Alltel. With the IN thing, I can go with the cheapest plan.
...
wombough

Feb 14, 2008, 1:01 PM
Yeah I can see that. I have 10 numbers to call free and it works pretty good. I have 1000 anytime.
...

...
wombough

Feb 14, 2008, 1:09 PM
my plan is a family plan. its 79.00 with a 15% military discount. I have 3 phones 1000 min unl m2m 10 mycircle numbers 1000 text on each phone and I can use data free nights and weekends other times it takes out my anytime min. But I can tether for free too. If I want unl tether I can for only 25.00 a month.
...
robtheman

Feb 14, 2008, 1:10 PM
Nice. I just don't need that stuff. The unlimited IN is what makes it work for me. To each his own.

2000 netime min, unl nw min, unl txt, unl pics, unl data(5g cap but that is pointless to me cause ill never use that much), nights at 7, unl mobile 2 mobile, 45 dollars a month...

Then I added the 28%discount coke employees get soooo... $32.4 + tax =P

BROWN27

Feb 14, 2008, 1:35 PM
Well it looks like sprint and altell have better plans than verizon..hell even att offers roll over and 7 pm nights...and tmobile at least has the fav5 thing..but i guess if you just need 'IN' minutes then verizon works..oh wait all carriers offer m2m! hmmmm oh i forgot my bad itsthenetwork lol jk verizon is good for something just haven't figure out what that is yet! i like the most bang for my buck guess i'm just kooky that way. ๐Ÿ˜

And continueing to add more and more and making money had over fist.

All while sprint desperately gives away service in a desperate attempt to get subscribers to fight off the fact that their investors won't loan them m money and Wi-Max isn't going to save them just as evdo and evdo rev a didn't save them

Oh and isn't is sprint that is actually loosing customers?

So are you just over here because no one in the sprint forum can stand you? or is there just no one left over there?

Hi..what does verizon making money have to do with having a killer plan? Sprint has 50 million customers, so what..verizon has 60 million is that suppose to mean something to me???..do you have stock with verizon, is that why you are all giddy like a school girl over their success? You can buy into the success or failure of Verizon Wireless buy buying VZ stock and VOD. The co-owners if Verzon Wireless. Those are the bottomlines where Verizon Wireless performance and profits show up.
...
wombough

Feb 14, 2008, 9:21 PM
Yeah verizon does own them and yes it hits their bottom line. However VOD does not have control over Verizon wireless. Verizon does. So if verizon wireless went bankrupt tomorrow it would hit verizon allot harder then VOD.

Actually ... to answer i have 2100 minute share plan, unlimited sms and mms, unlimited mobile web, Vcast and i tether my phone all the time ..

And i pay about $80

AND where i live sprint sucks... the power went out in the store and when they lost their in building repeater the store and every sprint phone for a block dropped to no service.

It was funny watching sprint reps scramble as people started walking out of the store.

My point behind my post was quite simple. VZW makes money. Sprint looses it in massive amounts. If you keep loosing cash like that cause you give everything away sooner or later you won't have a company.
...
BROWN27

Feb 14, 2008, 10:59 PM
Well where I live Sprint works very well, I expected you had a decent verizon plan...kinda.

But Sprint can roam anytime so I could never ever foresee a situation where a verizon phone would work and a Sprint phone wouldn't!
...
Mordikar

Feb 15, 2008, 8:35 AM
Sure there is.

If your sprint phone or my VZW phone sees a little bit of RF from our companies they won't roam. But that signal is so weak the call quality will suck and chances are the call will get dropped repeatedly.

it happens everywhere on the edges of coverage for all the carriers.
