I heard the Kyocera Slider phone *MAY* come out for Verizon. It is a CDMA phone with BREW, so it would be able to work on VZW.

Nope no idea when or even IF it will come out for Verizon.. It was only rumored it may, so there are no facts.

And no Verizon will only activate it's own phones... See that is the thing that is different about GSM phones and CDMA ones. GSM are interoperable, because the users info and the cell companies info are on the SIM card, not built into the phone, so as long as a GSM phone can be unlocked, it can be taken to other GSM carriers. CDMA phones are different. The CDMA carriers usually get a list of all the ESN's for the phones they are given, and those ESN #'s are loaded into the Carriers systems. And if you try to add a phone with a ESN that doesnt match any in the system, it will not let you activate it.

I consider the LG Choclate a slider, sure wouldn't call it a flip phone (JMO) Also there is a Nokia just out that is a slider...(Maybe my mind is cloudy, that is a possibilty 🤣 )

Yes the Chocolate is a slider. The Nokia CDMA slider is called the 6305i. Is that the one your thinking of?
