Employee accounts and the voyager.

So we find out that we are releasing the voyager. Mouths started watering at the mere rumors of this phone. We wait and wait for it. Finally the phone releases to the public and we rush forth to the employee accounts page only to find "Due to the high demand of our iconic new devices these devices will not be released for employee accounts at this time."

WHAT THE @#&$ IS THAT!?!?!

So you're telling me you're not going to sell employees the only device that is remotely worth while on our network that isn't a pda that has to have a huge data plan attached to it that costs almost as much as my voice plan for 2 bloody phones. And the reason you aren't going to sell me this phone is because some moronic idiot in sales or marketing didn't ...

it's really sad when you are so moronic you manage to drive your own employees into chrun hading for another carrier just so they can actually get a descent phone.

And all the bs about the holiday season can be shoved right square in a dark dark place ... because the holidays are over and you idiots in sales and marketing still can't manage to order some phones to sell.

How did we manage to post such good 4th quarter results if we can't "keep up with customer demand" on the only non-cookie cutter phone we sell that isn't available on every other carrier? Probably months ago... if not a year or more as in the case of the 6800. I half way am considering the touch but we go back to having to add on a bloody data plan that will cost al...

On top of that the employee account prices went up. i'm alomst tacking on an additional $20 to my account just for the voice plan when i switch to one of these new "nationwide" plans.

I would be more than happy to trade you my non-discounted Verizon account for your employee discounted account.

The supply is so short that no agent stores can get them and corporate stores must direct fulfill orders. I'm sure employees have a ways to go.

yea this is bull all the advertising and build up you think they would've planned ahead. I dont' knwo how you keep your spirits high about that phone everytime some one walks up to our display phone i cringe and just roll my eyes and walk away. When we finaly get it instock i'll be so disgusted by it i won't be able to sell it. Also, 2 of our managers already have 1 as well but we can't get any in for customers. pretty sad.

anyway, i was wondering what are the #'s on the voyager. with all the Iphone killer stuff and all this unavailability. My LG rep told me about a month ago that LG had shipped 1.6million handsets to verizon in 2 shippments of 800k. that all sold.

not sure how accurate that info is but if anyone has info. ...

use logic. our customers are first priority- always have been when it comes to equipment.

that said, if were still having to order Voyagers for customers, then why would the company have an extra 65,000 Voyagers sitting around for each employee to purchase?

there aren't enough in stock yet. believe it or not, the company isn't trying to screw you.

LG is producing as many as they can, as fast as they can.

I understand that our customers are our first priority... but if we can't serve our customers why are we giving them away to managers like they were candy. There are 9 voagers in my office all of them are on free demo accounts assigned to managers. Theres 9 more customers that could have been handled for ya. And you know full well it's not just my office and my managers.

🙄

Either release them to employees... let us order them with the expectation of waiting for them .. something... or don't give them to ANY employees at all.

I mean the way i understand it is i can't even go to the store buy one full retail at like $500 and then have it activated on my account even if it's in stock in the store.

As for "Lg is making th...

1) i don't have a peronsal line to upgrade.

2) we had a guy try to do just this and when he tried to do the esn change they rejected it because it was a voyager and they aren't allowed on employee accounts.

Shrug maybe South area is just far pickier than the other areas.

Our store still hasnt been able to order even one Voyager. I sure as hell have been asked by many customers to activate their Voyagers they have ordered online. By the time we get the phones in the Voyager will be a joke. No one will care about it.
