blackberry 24.99 data plan
i was wondering if anyone has the blackberry 24.99 data plan and how it is? I dont use internet that much and dont want to pay the crazy 40 dollar something plan so how is this plan? thanks in advance
...
If you don't need the corporate email, I would do the new 29.99 plan. It's unlimited web and email. If you need to sync your business email, then you need the $45 plan
...
oh ok thanks i didnt know about the 29.99 thats awesome...of course when i called 611 they didnt tell me about it...and do you happen to know how u can qualify for vip account bc i had it but took a small 5 dollar text thing off and now im not vip?
...
vip is based on your base rate plan and length of service.
...
yeah, forget that 10MB plan, go with the $29.99 Webb/mail plan if you don't need the corporate e-mail.
...
but its not a corp email?
...
I have used this plan with my BB for over 3 months now. I never go over about 3000 KB, and you get 10000 KB for 24.99. I use the web occasionally, but not much.
It works for me, and it saves me $5 bucks a month, cause I dont have to bump up to the 29.99 plan.

...
of course...if you cannot activate a BB without paying for atleast the 10mb plan. I only have my gmail account hooked up. I recieve/send about 35 emails a day.

oh wow thats good and that many emails a day and ur fine with the 10mb?

Emails are text-based. They don't require much data. To know if 10 MB is enough for you look at these aspects instead:
File Attachments - if you plan to open/view a lot of attachments, those add up fast, especially pdf files which most schools use for assignments/syllabus.
Web Browser - Text-based web pages aren' the big deal, but a page with lots of images is gonna suck up your data.
Applications - Some applications use a data connection to transmit. Google maps, for example, will transmit image data. VNC software would relay an image of the remote computers desktop. Etc.
Those are what use up a lot of data, text-based emails are very very little.
