First, I think it's great that people within the company answer consumer questions posted here. Second, I not trying to rail on anyone that is posting information that is likely correct. That said, I would like to note that release dates in infomanager are not guaranteed. I can think of two examples of release dates posted in infomanager (new *228 music and premium sms blocking) that turned out to be incorrect due to technical issues on, or near to the launch date. The same above statement could be said about a phone or two that Verizon Wireless has carried. Sorry for the long post, but thanks for reading.

I don't remember the url address, but you do have to work for Verizon view it at this time(maybe indirect stores can view it). As for the phone itself, i'm afraid I haven't seen the infomanager listing for it yet (not at work today).

thanks for the quick reply. I recently called into B2B VZW and they had no info on the release date for the 5800, even though the VZW site has "coming soon" for the Libra. Do you think that the 7th is a pretty accurate release date for this phone?

Checked it again today. The dates are still holding. As always dates are subject to change.
As of this morning the Web/B2B launch is Jan 7th and instore the 21st.
No word on a WM6 upgrade to 6.1.
