The phones are refurb, but if you use the insurance, demand they give you a new phone. I didnt buy the insurance and after 14 months my "V" died on me, had to pay $50 to get a refurb on and now 10 mos later it is failing on me again.

..but bottom line, even the $1.99 a month plan, if you use it just once in two years, it will had paid for itself.

The phones are whatever Asurion has available, new or refurbished... and you cant force them to send you a new one. Your policy isnt to have it replaced with a new phone, so they dont have to give you one.

While yes, if you use the insurance or extended warranty once they do pay for themselves, the point in them is that a majority of customers never use them.

I usually recommend the Insurance, especially if you've got a high end phone. Break that Voyager of yours and you'd MUCH rather pay $50.00 for a replacement than dropping $469.99 for a full retail replacement.
