i730 Wi-Fi issue
I already asked at PDA phone home but they said it was common, but offered no solution.
My i730's Wi-Fi is not working. I go to the Wi-Fi menu and tap "Enable" and OK. Then it freezes up and about 2 minutes later it says "WLAN could not started. Please soft reset and try to enable Wi-Fi again."
I've soft reseted and it doesn't fix it.
I really don't want to do a hard reset.
Anybody know?
I'm running 2003 SE.

I would say at this point you can either do a hard reset or Win Mob 5 update, which esentially does a hard reset and updates the OS. If that does not fix it, then it's a hardware issue and the phone needs to be replaced.

I had this problem with my i730 too. I would have to reset a few times before it would function. I had the i730 for over 2 years and the problem developed about the last 6 months.

Hard resets are always my last resort, which has proved to be a good thing because my last i730 had a really messed up touchscreen so if I had hard reset, it would have made me align the screen and therefore send it into an endless loop.
I'll try resetting a lot.

Why not upgrade to 5.0. I know you need an older Active Sync to complete it, but why keep 03?

I had 5 before. I like 2003 better. Many less bugs, fewer resets, more responsive, and I like the toolbar look better than softkeys.
