I've made up my mind to switch to Sprint.......this is the final straw

I am changing to Sprint SERO plan and getting the Touch phone after being a V customer for 10 years. Verizon around here has always had great service and the CS has been good but I am not going to pay their rates to use the internet.
Sprint service here is good so I won't miss that aspect but I know CS will prob. suck. I will pay $100 more for the phone but at least I'll be able to use the internet at will and my $55 for 1250 min. with unlimited broadband will make up for that in a few months.

Well lets see, could it be because of Verizon coming out with a great new phone for the internet
but charging through the nose for access? Yeah that's it!

... I cant tell if you are being sarcastic or just stupid...

Lets assume you are just being stupid, what is this "great new phone for the internet" that VZW is coming out with and "charging through the nose for access" ?

and btw, compairing prices from a company that is selling is services at a loss to try to get customer and keep its current customer that it is losing faster than it can get new ones isnt really a good compairison.

But I hope you enjoy Sprint and get to experience why they are losing customers faster than they are getting them before your 30 days is up!

Yeah they are losing the customers that care more about image and CS then they do network and products. They are the ones that can't do their own comparison and rate it off of what they need!

Yeah you are right people should not expect good customer service from the companies that they choose to spend there hard earned money with.

In case you did not get it that was sarcasm.

Its not just about image and customer service.. its about quality of service. Not everyone is ok with crappy service for a low cost, and that is what Sprint has. Sprint does not have as high of requirements for network performance, sprint does not put as much money into their network to make sure it stays running well and those are just aside from their problems that could be filed into "customer service"

There is a very good reason that about 70% of the customer that port to Sprint from VZW port back, and customer service is only a small part of it.

thats a good deal for the plan. If you can get acceptable coverage then why not I wish you luck. Most people who leave for sprint end up coming back but we will see what holds true for you mike.

Just remember sprint has a 30 day trial and if you return to VZW within 90 days we waive activation fees and will still honor NE2 etc

Coverage is good here and as you noted I'll have my 30 day trial period so we will see. My savings is not just a "few bucks" as someone has mentioned.

Another fool lured in by SERO 🙄 Leaving a top notch company that has never given you any grief just to save a few bucks is stupid!

wow you are really brainwashed! I am so sorry! Yes Verizon is a good company but all they are doing better right now is marketing and CS. Sorry neither are as big as network which they are pretty equal depending on were you live (but more or less equal) and price which their is no comparison and that doesn't matter were you live!

Wom, if anything you seem brainwashed... you keep making comments calling anyone that says something good about VZW a "fanboy" whereas you seem to be nothing other than a useless troll. You like posting misinformation and keep trolling the VZW forum...
Yes, there are some people that are over zealous and obviously have mental problems. If you look around you will see people like that in all of the carrier forums, yet you seem to only comment on the ones in this forum.

You seriously need to either do some research to understand why VZW has the most loyal customer base and gets the most net retail adds every quarter so you can make informed post, or just go away and dont come back.

You have used Sprint and Alltel, please go bother peop...

...man all I've got to say is best of luck. Sprint aint that bad at all, most people that say its bad havent had personal experiences with the company. You'll love SERO man, after all more cash in you pocket at the end of the month. If you ever need any help bro lemme know, Unlimited text, Internet, 500 minutes, nights and weekends at 7:00 etc you'll love! 😉

Do SERO plans apply to data cards for laptops?

What are Sprint's real-world speeds for their EVDO Rev A cards?

Tested at http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest ?

No, there are seperate SERO plans for laptop cards.

I'm going to PM you a link to more info, since Phone scoop doesn't like me posting it (I've gotten 3 forum notices for this).

If someone is mad, why can't they make a comment about it? The USA makes a big deal about freedom of speech, but I rarely see it available on message boards. Verizon isn't perfect, if they were they would be the only wireless carrier and there wouldn't be many other customers to all the other carriers. The person may be wrong or right and of course go argue about it but they have a right to post.

VZW prices are a problem...but I cannot beat their reception in my area. AT&T was HORRIBLE, Sprint is good, but not as good as VZW, T-Mobile is horrible.

I use my phone for business so I need a reliable network.

Fan of VZW network? You bet! Fan of their prices, especially the anal rape data plans? No way!

They just lowered their personal blackberry data/email plan to $29.99 a month. I don't know if that is what you are looking for or if that's a good price compared to the other companies.

Well because RIM is upgrading their systmems hosting Blackberry BIS to version 2.4 and stop support to version 1.8. Its a reason why both CDMA carriers (Verizon, Sprint) switched to that new $30 BB data plan 😉

I have sprint and VZW here in MD.

The sprint is works Treo 700wx. And let me tell you, my coverage sucks. I roam, crappy audio, and the "power vision" network isn't all that different speed wise from VZW's. Yep, drop calls with my Treo all the time too...

I work in Field Engineering for the whole state of MD. I usually revert to using my VZW phone to call customers and dispatch because the sprint is either in Roam or wont connect or sounds so sh!tty that I end up yelling at a customers site.

I hate VZW for many reasons, but not for call quality or coverage. All things are of two blades. 😉
