Verizon Busted For 'Unlimited' Marketing
Click for full size
Last April, Verizon Wireless's Jeffery Nelson stopped by our forums to note that Verizon would be more forthcoming about the limited nature of their unlimited service. The company began to pull the term "unlimited" from its marketing vocabulary, and publicly announced that the service had a 5GB per month cap.
When con...

But maybe that's NOW...lol 👀
Anyone bet the collapse will start to take place next year? Congrats! Just continue sending those high paying customers over to us. After they get their hands on our Tilts, Curves, and iPhones they'll never look back! Anyone who's recently switched over to AT&T care to chime in?

Amen! We didn't call these guys "worthless" when they came over to the Sprint forum, with a link describing the latest dilemma facing Sprint.
But hey, I guess we're kinda used to it by now! 🤣

So true! Why are us poor Sprint users so interesting?
Just goes to show there is a double standard. If Sprint cancels a customer for calling CS too much, it's because "they suck", if Verizon does it for abusing a data service, it's merely smart business.

Go figure!
I know. Actually, I understand why they did it, and in all probability, there were certain restrictions to the "unlimited" data usage, it's still a double standard by the VZW fanboys.
Remember, too, the flack Sprint got for cancelling folks for roaming too much, and Sprint NEVER said that roaming was unlimited, just that it was included free with the rate plan.
It pays to read the fine print, but it also pays for people who live in glass houses not to throw stones!

Not too many people, especially when you're signing papers for a house or car. Takes long enough just signing.
I was at a quarterly meeting a couple years back, and asked the question "if its advertised as "unlimited" why is it capped at 5gb a month?"
The only answer they could give me is "its unlimited, up to 5gb a month?"
Then I kept saying " then its really not unlimited!"
And they just kept saying, "Yes! Its unlimited! Up to 5gb a month!"
They kept saying it over and over and over, and eventually i felt sorry for the "trainer" because he knew it wasnt unlimited and was being put on the spot, so I let it go.
But yes, over all I think Big Brother...

Remember that the 5GB cap wasnt really a cap, it was a red flag that the service was being used for something it shouldnt be.

yeah that is so funny big deal that they falsely advertised and cut off 13000 people for something they didn't do wrong. But sprint cuts off 1000 or so people for calling CS more then 30 times a month mostly to get free stuff and they are the worst company. You all are so damn entertaining! 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
Sprint didn't just cut 1000 customers, they took away their dignity and humanity too! They might as well have walked into their homes with loaded guns and shot them. At least that way, their suffering would be ended.

I guess by saying they were freeloaders and deadbeats that there money isn't even worth taking because they are not worth the trouble!
They should have at least referred these folks to good local counselors in their area.
Further proof as this is a letter they sent the customers!
