I have a dumb question but why when you get a phone covered by warranty do they only ship you the phone and not the battery door? I understand not geting a battery and you need to use your old one but why do we have to have a new replacement phone with an old door?

I don't get it

Is the replacement door defective? If not, why should it be replaced?

Well if you are getting a new phone covered by warranty the back door is part of the phone. It is not going to look right with a nice bright new phone and you have this old used battery door.
That just sucks that they do that Sprint gives you a new phone accept battery.

Why do we have to settle for that.

its actually a case to case basis, probably they were out of stocks for like 4 like phones so they would send a full kit, they could also send a full kit if the phone and battery is the problem, if htey were out of refurbished phones, then they might send brand new full kits as well... 🙂

all carriers do that, because all carriers just carry the manufacturers warranty...all carriers do a like 4 like exchnage, same make and model...we check out your phone and determine what the problem is and replace it...if its just the battery then we'll give you a battery, if its the phone, then we'll give you just the phone, why get a new backplate when its not the issue??? and its not new, its refurbished, coz we are just carrying as i have mentioned, the manufacturers warranty which is a send and return program...instead of you sending your phone to them and have it repaired, which would take several weeks to do so, the carriers minimized the time by gathering deffective phones, have them repaired and manufacturer would give the carrier ...
