Just saw on the Verizon site the W385 is now priced at only $29.99. That price will make a lot more people jump at this good little phone!

Yeah, $29 w/the online discount, $79 for a 2-yr otherwise. Wow, I wonder why they did that. Was it just not selling that well? 😕

I mean, it is an entry-level phone in most ways (VGA camera, no 3G, no mem card slot), and they did overprice it to begin with, but still, its prolly worth more than that... assuming it continues to hold up and doesn't get mass returned, anyway.

Maybe they figure they'll own entry-level at that price point, margins be damned.

we've been running a promo where the phone is $50 activation price with a $50 mail-in rebate so it ends up being free, and this phone sells really well with the middle-aged crowd as the want something thing and nice looking, but not full of features they won't use and don't really need, obviously i try to sell data, etc. but sometimes customers just want something simple and as much as i hate motorolas, i love this phone and my customers seem to as well 🙂

Yeah, that's what I said:
