I am getting the Motorola w385 and I want to know what the proper way to "condition" the battery? I have read different opinions regarding that procedure. Thanks you for the help.

What I always do when I get a new phone/battery is use it all up with the half charge it initially comes with...kill it dead, then charge it full. Always seems to work for me.

I think the biggest thing is to cycle through the battery till it is completely dead. do that its first 2-3 charge cycles.

Lithium ion batteries don't have a memory on them. There are a specific number of times that you're able to charge them so it's best to let it die before you charge it anyway, but it's not going to be conditioned in any way if you don't let it die first. Nickel cadmium batteries had the memory issues, not lithium ion.
