Call Forwarding Question

If I have my Verizon Wireless number forwarded to another number (non Verizon Wireless) and a Verizon Wireless subscriber calls me while my number is forwarded, will this still be considered an "in network" call or will this be deducted plan "anytime minutes?"

It will still be charged minutes, because essentially your vzw phone is calling your non vzw phone, regardless of who is calling your vzw phone.

Wfine,

is call forwarding free? and does it essentially forward the call if you dont pick it up?

I get no verizon reception at my home, but every place else is fine. I was looking at forwarding my cell calls to my landline so I could actually start answering my cell phone calls at home.

If you have some time to explain CF a little bit, i would appreciate it.

Sure, if you call forward your cell phone to your landline then it will use your minutes on your verizon phone, look at it this way, your cell phone is calling what ever line you have it forwarded to.

So if your buddy with cingular called your vzw phone, and your phone is forwarded to your home phone, it would use your cellular minutes for however long he was talking to you on your home phone,

If your buddy has Verizon, and he calls your cell phone, and its fordwarded to your home phone then its still using your minutes because your cell phone is fordwarding it to your home phone (i.e. your cell phone is calling a non vzw phone)

If your buddy has a vzw phone, and he calls your vzw phone, but your phons is fordwarded to your girlfri...

But if your Girl has all your calls fordwarded to her phone then you have bigger problems to worry about 🤣

lol...that shouldnt be an issue.

Can you switch it on and off over the network? I looked online and it said you could do it via dialing #72 or #73.

To activate it dial *72xxxxxxxxxx (the number you are fordwarding it to)

To deactivate it dial *720.

After you do each one you will hear a "beep, beep, beep" then silence, that will confirm that it has been done.

The *73 thing is "no answer transfer" which means if somebody calls your cell phone and you dont answer, instead of leaving a message it will ring your other phone that you fordwarded it to.

*72NPANXX1234: Turn on call forwarding.

*73: Turn off call forwarding.

*720: Not currently supported, although it will probably also turn off call forwarding.

If I were an agent in a store I would recommend to my users to use *73 from here on out. I'm not saying that it's likely that *720 will turn into Magical Hidden Forwarding That No CSR Can See any time soon, but... well, try dialing the star key followed by random numbers on your phone and see what happens.
