They crippled the hell out of the V9M

This would be much more appropriate in the motorola forum or the phone specific forum. As for the crippling, who cares? Moto made the CDMA version the same size at the 2G GSM version, they had to cut some stuff out to make room for the parts required to run on CDMA with EVDO. If you notice the size of the 3G GSM one is larger than the 2G or CDMA one.
