please help with verizon treo600 network preferences
Hi, I have a treo600 from verizon. I ran across a problem with the network preference setting. Aparently it is set to never time out, which in this case cost me $179.67 in additional data charges (accumulated within 23hrs because the phone didnt disconnect even after I closed the application which used the connection). Granted Verizon took care of it, but they also locked the setting where you can adjust the time out for a data connection. Does anyone know how to override the lock-out or how to adjust the network timeout otherwise. To find the settings on the treo go to the main screen, tap on prefs, in the top right corner change it to networks then tap on modify. Unfortunately there isn't a way to change the timing out of a data session. The main reason for this is because of the auto sync feature. There are 2 options available so you will not incur a high bill; option 1 is to add the unlimted data package feature for $44.99 and option 2 is to delete all national access network connection w/ the phone.
