How many people actually pay the ETF to get out and go somewhere else because of CS, reception or other??? (Honestly, please)

I have paid the verizon ETF 2 times already for the port in into cingular. My reasoning was friends/family were on cingular. I came back to verizon. The 2nd time was because of the early calling and rollover minutes plus the Sony phone line (w810). I am with verizon again but am planning on POSSIBLY porting to Helio & getting the unlimited data/minutes for $145 + the ocean.

wow you are the worst customer ever

Customer since Dec 1998 never ported 🙂
Next!
I've trail tested every carrier and will continue to do so, but so far I always return to verizon.
...
I paid the cingular etf for my gf to port over to verizon so we could get M2M and free texts, etc.

P.S. I have personally been with verizon since Nov 2003 and dont plan on switchin anytime soon...unless maybe the iphone is simply out of this world!

That iphone is haunting you LOL I know the feeling I want the curve, but not the inferior network! It's hard to be a verizon customer sometimes, it would be allot easier if i had never used verizon 🙂 Oh well
...
Yeah the curve is a sweet phone too! I dont know if I could give up the touch screen though. I really love that feature on my treo. But the curve has gotten excellent reviews. Hopefully verizon will pick it up around the fourth quarter of this year
I don't think I would switch, but if they ever released a 3g version...we might have to revisit this scenario 😎

Are there any particular benefits to the touch screen on your treo?...I have never used one so I don't know if it's just a preference thing or what...ACTUALLY I'm just starting to inform myself on the entire smart phone game. I rather have the curve with EVDO anyways! 😎

I left Verizon to go to Sprint but for whatever reason they couldn't port my number so I quickly came back to Verizon.
After being with Verizon on my last contract for about 3-4 months I ported to T-Mobile and payed the ETF. I was with T-Mobile for about 5 months and came back to Verizon again.
Believe it or not - I'm thinking of maybe paying the prorated ETF again with Verizon so that I can go back to T-Mobile or maybe go to AT&T. Btw, I've been with Verizon on this contract for about 4 months.
It sucks that I can never stay with one company. I'm so glad that I have a good amoaunt of cell phone usually to offset the cost of most of the ETFs I've paid.
...
I have bounced also between ATT/Cingular and Verizon
my conclusion seems to be, one company works where the other doesn't at one time or another
...
i will be paying two etf when the iphone hits
...
Where in SF, CA do you get spotty reception at? There are very few places in the city verizon does not cover very well...
...
i paid 200 dollars to get out of a nasty alltel contract, but then i turned around and sold my 3 phones on ebay and made 254 dollars profit. So it all worked out! Now I will never leave verizon since the only 3 carriers in my area are verizon alltel and sprint! Alltel and sprint suck so that leaves me with verizon, which i am very happy!
...
I only have 2 choices here also, USCC, or verizon.
If USCC ever gets rid of their 50% rule, or I stop traveling for a living, I would pay the ETF and port over to USCC just because USCC has better service in our town and better promo's.
...
USCC is not very good. My friend came to visit from Chicago and they had USCC and it was roaming but they insisted they had a national plan so whatever!
...
I have had USCC and I have used USCC and have not had any problems in the midwest. You either live in a poor area for USCC, as all carriers have bad spots, or they were able to use their phones.
USCC does things differently then verizon, the phone may say roam, but all that means is they are not using USCC's tower, like verizon's extended network. They can still use their phone roam free if they are on the national plan. The only thing they cant use while roaming on another carriers tower is mobile to mobile minutes, the night and weekend, and free incoming minutes will work. So, chances are they were able to use their phones no problems if they are on the national plan.
