My sister was interested in tethering her moto Q to her Apple Laptop. Does anyone know if this is possible & if so, how?

if it is, it will cost her about $100 extra per month (the price for VZW's phone as modem plan)

she is better off going to sprint and get an express or usb aircard that are mac compatible and pay $59.99/month UNLIMITED USAGE

Where did you get $100 per month? It's $15 per month, but you can very easily do it for free.
