I've been a customer since 2000 and am absolutely satisfied. Despite the fact that some people think the handsets are lacking, which I have no problem with, the service is great...EVERYWHERE I go. Customer service is excellent, although I've sometimes gotten different answers to the same question, they've obviously helped me to the best of their ability. So in my humble opinion, here's my equation:

good phone service + great customer service = loyal customer 😁

Yeah, internal support sucks A$$! They won't even move upgrade dates up by even one day... I found a way around it though...

"Sir, they won't move your upgrade date up anymore, we used to be able to pull strings but they just won't do it... Now if you throw your phone about 20 feet in the air and let it land on the concrete outside, and come back in, they'll definitely change it..."

Out mr customer goes to bash the crap out of his old 5185i... Probably gonna take 3 or 4 good hits till it goes... (tank of a phone, much respect there, but it's still 1994 technology!)

15 mins later he comes back in, it's in 4 pieces, I ring support up and say "mr customer here had an accident with his phone, he's only 10 days out from upgrade, can ...

I haven't had any problems. I just call credit an activations... someone just told me last week that the reps we talk to can always move it up within a month. If it's over that they have to have approval from a supervisor. This new policy they just started actually makes it easier.

I can't speak for my customers, but I do know that we have the quickest "time to live" on customer support... generally less than 4 minutes and you're talking to a human (and 99% of the time they speak English better than half my customers do)... I've seen porters from ATTWS wait 37 minutes on hold just to check for a middle initial and out of contract status... 37 freaking minutes on hold!!! Jeeebus!

I hate Verizon customer service. I once spent HOURS on the phone, trying to BUY a new phone, and I'm sure I spoke to literally 20 different people. Not only that, but everyone told me something different.

I was originally told that I could purchase a specific phone if I went into a Verizon store and switched to a higher plan for a month. I did it, called cust. service back, and they told me, oh no, you can't do that, blah blah blah. Well... that's not what the OTHER person told me. So I've switched my plan to a more expensive one for nothing, meanwhile -- I just wanted the damn phone! I tried and tried to make it work, spoke to lots of different people (some very nasty) -- all for nothing. I never did get to buy that phone.

Really, I'm...

Why would I? I take the credit when it's given...I'm not one to always want the latest and greatest on their account. If I wanted that before my upgrade comes around, I'd pay full retail for it 🙄
