theres this great place (www.myxertones.com) for free ringtones. You just upload music from your computer, pick out the part you want, and they send it to your phone. For free 🙂

I'm fairly certain that with the 8600 and a music essentials kit, you can make your own ringtones using MP3s you already have. I know my LG8300 can do it.

I could be wrong about this because I'm away from my information sources, so don't flame me if that's the case. 👀

MEK cannot change your MP3 to ringtones. You need an MP3 editor to cut the song down to about 30 Second clip, then e-mail it to your Phone#@vzwpix.com. When it comes through you should have options, save as ringtones. If not, then you need Bitpim (a phone hacking program) to transfer the file to your ringtone folder.

After saving the ringtone file to your computer, you send that file (attached in email) to yourself as a TXT/PIX message. The email address to your phone is your 10 digit # @vzwpix.com. Then when you open the message on your phone, choose options, save as ringtone. Works with pictures too.
