yeah i heard that..and so was treo...but what happened..? treo came out with the 755 moto came out with the razr2 lg came out with the shine and sam is just updating their blackJack...i say face the music people...the iphone is the only innovation the US will see this year...

RAZR2 seems like it is truly innovative with many new features. However, read the full article on PS homepage. Take note of all the feature not available on the CDMA model (footnote 1). What gives. We can’t get iPhone, and now the best response to the iPhone will be crippled. Example, GSM gets HTML browser, CDMA doesn’t.

i mean their nice phones..but thats what they are phones...where's the iphone killer they promised? the q9? hows that different from the regular Q? different body..still no touch screen still same OS basically...the razr2...whats so new about it that hasnt already been done by lg with the u740 and that even has a qwerty....I say nice try..but i still see no innovation...all i see are updates of last year models...its like a repetitive movie...its like spiderman 3 pirates 3 and shrek 3...updates of the previous...where's our matrix 1...and your right..the cdma version will basically be a regular razr in a shiny new body.

Nothing Moto introduced today is revolutionary, but neither is the iPhone. The iPod was revolutionary because it was coupled with Itunes music store and was the first and by far most successful legal music-downloading venue. It changed the way we listen to music.
The iPhone will probably be the best music player phone, but will not be a great phone. Too large, too expensive, no 3G, no changeable battery and on and on.
The Apple mystiques is forcing all players to innovate, but the innovations, including the iPhone, are all baby steps.

😈 yep makes you get really tired of verizons lameness, i don't think it will be too much longer before cingular network will be worthwhile, verizon lame UI and crippled everything is really getting annoying.

iphone duh...razr needed something a little more to keep the steam running...making it a little smaller and bigger screen isnt going 2 compete with all the multitouch..dohickies with the iphone.

If RAZR2 is $200 with two year contract vs. $500 for iPhone, I'll bet RAZR2 sells three times more units on Cingular alone.

yeah but think about it...when the razr was introduced it was 500 buks...with a 2year contract 800 without...and people still bought it..why..? because it was something new and thin...and the iPhone marketing wise..will create a lot more hype than the razr2...we've been hearing razr for the past couple of years...the mass media will just asume it to be another razr update.. like the razr v3 or vmc or you know...but the iphone is looked upon as new vis a vis the razr 2years ago.

iphone will be a success at higher end, but Joe Six-Pack is not going to buy one for every line on his Family-Share plan. RAZR a few years ago may have been $500 but I don't remember seeing too many on the street till they came down to sub $200 level.
I agree however that iPhone will smoke RAZR2 if MOTO is stupid enough to think they can price it anywhere near $500.

i will agree with that..if it stays cheap..they'll see like hot cakes...but i guess thats moto's answer tot he iphone...where's lg's or samsung's or palm's or the pda market period..no one has delivered a good answer for the iphone.

i think everyone is waiting to see how iphone does in the market place...why rush to market to try and beat iphone...then the iphone flops.
Just wait and see, then release a product that is bigger and better! incorporating and improving on all of the things iphone doesnt do well.
