Considering joining IN

I am considering switching from T-Mobile (family plan) to Verizon Wireless (family plan), but have a question:

With regard to IN calling, does this apply in the Extended Network calling area. To my understanding, if your phone says "Roaming," that is the only time it does not apply. I assume that this is the same for Unlimited Nights and Weekends.

Another question, is the network really that good or is it just a great advertising scheme?

I believe you are correct in that IN and unlimited N&W will work on the extended network and that the only time that it does not apply is while roaming. I am not 100% sure on that though.

As for your other question, its both. Verizon has an excellent network but they're advertising techniques are unbelievably affective also.

you are correct on the IN and unlimited minutes on the extended network.....
if you look at verizon's coverage map, and compare it to any other wireless coverage map (gsm for instance) you will see that verizon has a major coverage advantage. only on some older plans, like attws's tdma national rate is there more coverage... and you cant do shared minutes on attws tdma. but do beware of what i am dealing with.... if you want to use your phone in an area that the verizon map says is NOT all-digital, you must have a trimode phone (supports AMPS 800) (the map area is light pink) if you dont frequent these areas, then its not an issue.
