I need to get new Headsets for two phones and am trying to find the best choice. Any ideas?

Well if the Maxx VE is anything like the Q, I'll say this: Stick with Motorola Headsets.
The Jabra JX10 was the perfect headset for Treos (even the 650) but totally reeked on a Q.
But I could be wrong about the Maxx VE
