Go to "music & tones", then "my music", and "songs". That should work.

Did you remember to convert them to a wma format, my guess it that you are trying to put mp3's on your phone. That phone does not support them

the 8300 only plays WMA files. if not you have to go into system programing and set it for mp3 files. be sure when you put music on your card that you're putting it into the my music folder.

If you get the Latest Software version... it plays both MP3/WMA. The Program Menu is removed for the music option.

Usually, you have to go to your Settings & Tools Area to find a section for Phone Info. Either under System or Phone Settings. Just look for the S/W version. A store tech rep can flash your phone to the latest Software.

Press Menu (OK) and then Zero
then 000000
the Music Setting (usually the last setting)
Then MP3 Enabled

This will Disable you VCast music WMA player though. you can either play WMA or MP3 unless you get the new software.

If it says not available that means that you can already play mp3's on your phone. I'm suprised nobody else has said this but did you format you memory card before putting music on it. That may be part or all of the problem. Also the length of the title of the song matters. If its to long it will not show up on the phone. I'm not sure exactly but I think its around 25 characters.
