I've had my 8100 for almost two years now, and I have loved it up until now. Recently, my battery has begun draining very fast, and one of the little pieces in the charge/plug in broke. Now, I have to make sure there is pressure on the cord, so that it will charge, even though it doesn't last me very long. But here is my real question, I need to get a new phone. I've been looking at the enV and the 9400, and I've got to say that I love both designs. I could easily get the enV now, but is the 9400 worth waiting for until late March?? What do you guys think?
...
question is how much will the tv service cost, Second qustion is do you have to open and turn the 9400 everytime you want to call someone. So If you text a lot or just want a hella good phone and camera get the 9900(env) especially if you are not planning on paying for Verizon tv service. If Verizon offfers tv included int eh vcast pack i would consider it, but knowing verizon it will be extra on top of the vcast pack.
...
wrong medioFLO will have three diff packages that will be bundled with the vcast vpak. so it will have vcast video clips, vcast music, unl mobile web, and the medioFLO all airtime free.
just wait till the 9400 comes out, and see if you like it. i have seen the phone and the resolution on the screen is amazing. unfortunately i didnt get to play with the phone to much, but i think it will be worth the wait.
...
wrong???? I didn't give an answer to be wrong, I asked a question? You say three different packages....so that means that the $15 dollar vcast pack will not include mediflo? Do you know the prices or package details? If not then I am stickin with it will probably be expensive and not worth it unless you plan on using it a ton...just like vcast.
...
well i cant really disclose how much all the packages will cost, but for the unl package with vcast vpack and unl mediaFLO will be $25.00. the there will be offers below that. the price range for everything will be out shortly.
...
Yeah that what i figuered, It will be cool but I don't know if it will be $300 a year cool ๐คจ guess we will see
...
from what i saw at our meeting it looked very cool, the phone looks very nice. if you have comcast digital cable its set up exactly like that, and you have the capability to record your show that you miss, like a DVR.
...
WRONG. you cannot record live tv or save them to the phone or a memory card.
there is no DVR function on the release 1 phones.
...
hmmm the 9400 we looked at had the record feature on it. maybe it was the newest software?? not really sure.

You said $25 for vcast tv and vcast unlimited, what's the price for the vx9400 itself, and is it still coming out in late march?
...
I would mind paying 25$ to watch the tele on my phone gives me something to do when Im on a date ๐
...
i'll back up the DVR claim. It's supposed to either use TIVO or be like TIVO

MidnightDT, do you have any pricing info? And do you know if it is still scheduled for the end of March?
...
Is it possible to get TV without getting the Vcast Vpack to go along with it? How much would this be?
...
we dont fully know the details of pricing yet becuase its not out yet.
...
I think both those phones suck, I would wait for something better ๐ ...
...
V cast TV is supposed to launch March 1st. Pricing will start at at 14 for four channels, and I believe 17-18 for all eight channels. V cast TV + V cast video will cost 25 all together. I had the chance to see the lg 9400 and it has a great screen. Didn't get to see the menus or much more as the person recieved a phone call he had to take. Have to wait an see until it actually comes out. My market isn't getting V cast TV yet so who knows when that will be. V cast TV areas(only 22 markets so far) should see it end of April.

I thought it was launching in the middle of March? Also, when is the LG VX9400 going to be available?
...
I talked to Verizon today and she said the LG9400 is coming out the end of March.

cool, yes one store told me the same thing.
...
Worth waiting for. Yes
...
Any pics of this phone? I was waiting for the MAXX but that just keeps getting pushed back and I have no idea of when (although I hear mid April). I wonder if the 9400 would be something I'd like!?
...
Do you like TV on the go? You'd like the 9400.
...
in actual Vcast TV markets! Not sure how soon afterwards (or even if!) that mass markets will get it, but the package specifically is outlined saying only available in for sale in TV markets at release!
...
did the u620 say that too? Because I'm not in a market and the u620 is online @ vzw.com
...
The 620's did not say this! I was very surprised to see this on the 9400
...
and im sure the 9400 will be online as all other phones are, but when you log-in to order zipcode and/or market will come into play to allow processing?
...
I'm not in a TV area either and they have the 620 at the Circuit City near me. They also have the cases already for the 9400 and they say that they will be getting it soon.
