Helio Ocean sucks

by cmay2k    Sep 2, 2008, 11:34 AM

I got a helio ocean a year ago when I signed up, the phone seemed to have a couple issues from the day I bought it. First thing that kept going wrong was the msn messenger would get signed out every time I closed the phone(that shouldn't happen), the phone kind of fixed itself over time and was doing well, then 2 months ago I dropped it, and when it fell it slid open, a few days after that the only way I could talk on the phone was when I had it on speaker phone, I called up and ordered a new device, when that one got here, I set it up and they made sure I could get online etc... The thing they didn't have me do is make a phone call, the next day someone called and couldnt hear me when I picked up my phone, and I couldn't hear them, I guess when I called people, their phone would ring, but when they picked up neither of us could hear eachother, so again I was stuck using the helio only being able to talk to people when they were on speaker phone, I called helio and explained the situation and the lady said this was a common problem that the ocean was having, they sent me a new device in the mail, and when I got it we went through the same long steps it takes to set up the phone, I hang up with the people, and I got to charge my phone, and this phone will not charge!!!!!I tried a different battery and that didnt work, so I plugged my friends phone into the charger and it worked just fine on his phone, which only means one thing, HELIO OCEAN SUCKS! I called today and wanted out of my contract, I'm not interested in getting a 4th broken ocean, but they wont let me out unless i pay the $170. I just wanted to warn anyone thinking about joining helio, maybe get a different phone? They have no other keyboard phones.
