I am talking about were the service is pretty = as it is in most areas of the country.

Now that you're finally being clear, yes, I think image can influence things a bit. But I wouldn't agree that service is equal in most areas... for example, in the Bay Area of California, Verizon is awesome, Sprint is 'okay' (at best), and ATT kinda sucks.

I doubt we're a rarity. I hear similar things from friends in other parts of the country... there's usually a 'go to' carrier or two in an area, and then a couple of carriers who lag behind. But I'm sure there's some areas that match your description.

In any case, I don't find Verizon's ads to be exceptionally good... the nicest thing you can say about them is that they're consistent, really.
