You can do the "no coverage option" its for customers who do not have insurance and this kind of thing happens....you get 50.00 off full retail price and sign new 2 year contract.....contract would begin day you get phone and end 2 years from that date....hope that helps! 🙂

Is it possible to use a prepaid phone? They are much less expensive.

I am not sure about that...I usually tell my customers no...I think pre-paid phone is made for just that - pre-paid....you can get a phone as cheap as 50.00 with the no coverage option...nokia 6030 samsung x496

You can always try to use the pre-paid phone though

You usually have to wait for 1 1/2 years into your contract to upgrade. (180 days before contract end date) If you call in between the hours of 8am - 9pm central time you can request to speak with our Loyalty department to see if they can upgrade you early and get the full discount on the phone

Only option you have is the no coverage option and you can only exercise the option every 90 days and take $50 off retail price of new phone. I would highly recommend getting phone protection when you get the new equipment (provided it isn't a RAZR or smartphone). And don't think you can Ebay your way out of this one unless it is an actual phone that Cellular One sponsors and carries. LOL!!

You most certainly can get any unlocked phone you want off ebay provided it supports the right band (850) and Cell One can send the updates needed for your MMS to work. Why would you tell a customer that you can't I have 2 Unlocked pebl on my account right now and they work like a charm! Also, as far as the LOL that wasn't a very good way to support our customers!

To correct you, yes you probably have 2 PEBL's that you're using on your account, but explain to me what will happen if you call us here in Tier-2 Data Support if your MMS or WAP doesn't work. You just gotta understand that if it's not one of ours, you're on your own using it. Real talk.
