How do you rate US Cellular's Service?
Thanks!
I seldom see or hear of complaints from USC customers in Northern New England (ME, NH, VT) but there are some complainers out there, mainly they seem to be in Chicagoland, with another group spread over the midwest. Not sure why their experience is worse than ours here in New England, but it's true that just about every complaint about USC that I come across is from a mid-westerner.

As for the 5550, it's a really good phone. Tri-mode and the speaker feature is the best I've ever seen.
However, as pointed out, Chicagoland is another story. I get pretty good coverage at my house and the surrounding area but definately have had some trouble spots where everyone else seems to get it.
The fact remains though that noone can really touch their rates. If you are a local area customer who wants a ton of minutes for low cost, then you shouldn't hold back. Try it out and decide for yourself.

the problem with the Chicago area with USCC is that they bought PrimeCo's crappy network 2 years ago, and that's what they're using. Hopefully they get their butts in gear and start improving it some more! My phone has always worked fine in Chicago but I know plenty of people whose phones get very poor reception there
🙂 we are working to improve the network, and as it stands, those with a trimode are better off, especially if they have the correct preferred roaming list on the phone. i see the most troubles with the dual modes only, the lgs and motos are great for the most part.
