I think the fine print in the contract says something to the effect "prices/plans subject to change without notice" is their way out of any lawsuit. I agree that it seems like false advertisement or bait and switch, but their lawyers covered their butts. Now they are doing radio commercials saying "come to a carrier that puts people first." Really? How? They charge the same $35 activation fees, $15 phone number change fees, and $35 restocking fees, etc just like the other guys. The only thing they have that's different is their almost worthless "points" system. Now carriers like VZ, ATT, and T-Mo have plans that let customers upgrade up to every 6 months while USCC still lets people do it at up to 18 max. Their points system used to let customers upgrade at any time they had enough reward points, but they changed it so a customer can't upgrade before 18 months-just like before the Belief Project ever began. So all in all, lying to customers with "one and done contracts", max upgrade eligibility @18 months, and all their various fees is their idea of "putting people first."
