Wow, if you don't work for US Cellular, you sure seem to know a lot about it. How do you know how many Advanced Exchanges they are doing and how do you know how much it costs them? That is not public info. As far as charging for Advanced Exchanges that is bad policy. I never heard of charging someone for a warranty issue for any other product. Have you? And to say it's to cover the cost of shipping and handling, why not just have those replacement phones in stores so you don't have to ship it?

I'm glad you are okay with charging people for "great customer service." Maybe the company shouldn't have such crappy phones and they wouldn't have to warranty so many of them. The company is being cheap and trying to save a buck by offering crappy phones (HTC Desire, HTC Merge, Samsung Gem, LG Genesis, Moto Hint, Samsung Acclaim, and the list goes on and on). That's short sighted on the company's part. Saving money now (to give executive bonuses) buying low end, cheap quality phones even though they are losing customers because of it. And then those phones fail in reliability which requires the company to keep a warehouse full of replacements. Seems dumb.

So Mary's "claim to fame" is she came up with "I'm loving it"? I've always thought what a stupid tag line that was. If she thought that slogan up, that should have automatically disqualified her for the CEO job right off the bat. That's got to be one of the dumbest slogans ever created.

You probably are just as qualified as her to be CEO. Most of these people get these jobs by who they know, not what they know. So far I haven't seen any dramatic improvement since she's been hired. They are still losing customers left and right. They will continue to do so until they get a better phone selection, but they are going to be stubborn and keep offering crappy phones (for the most part) to save a buck. Again, very short sighted on their part.
