I'll give you an example of how US Cellular is unethical and dishonest. They claim in their values and behaviors to be this wonderful company of "trust, openness, leading by inspiration" but do the complete opposite in reality. They have actually set up a culture of fear and reprisals in their call centers. Management has literally taken a page right out of Joseph Stalin's playbook from the Soviet Union back in the 1930s. USCC now has this culture where everyone is suppose to snitch on everyone. If you don't snitch on someone and management later finds out that you knew something, then you'll be punished as well. Stalin did the very same thing. If you didn't snitch on your neighbor who spoke badly about Stalin and they later found out you didn't snitch, then you'd face the firing squad along with your neighbor. Same thing in the call centers. If an associate says something as minor as "that doesn't seem right" or "that sucks" your duty is to immediately go snitch on that fellow rep to management. If you don't rat them out and management finds out you didn't rat on them, then you'll be facing termination just like them. Management tells you to tell on fellow associates so they can "just clarify issues with that person" but then turn around and put that person you told on a final written warning. That's called lying. That's a culture of deception, lying, dishonesty, and most of all fear. You would think a company would not want to base their culture off of Stalin or Hitler, but guess again.
