It depends on market, they are different in different parts of the country. Out here we are the lowest for no credit, but sprint is the lowest for horrible credit.

no idea, but they have some sort of system for people with bad credit, they will turn off their phones once they hit a certain ammount, whether the bill is late or not or the pay period is even over.

Yea i think that it depends on their deposit amount... For example, if the deposit was 150 then once they hit that amount they get turned off... Im not positively sure but I think I've heard something like that...

Sprint gives 2 lines no deposit to ABC credit and everyone else is either 1ine no deposit or all lines 150 or 250 with a previous paid off write off. At least that was how it was when I was indirect last year

USCC approves you for up to 5 lines (in your first 6 months) @ the same deposit (0-100-200-400 for consumer lines) In all markets but St. Louis (0-400-600) In St Louis a person who sets up 1-2 lines hits a very lax credit check, above that (3-5) the get scrutinized harder. The credit standards are fairly high the reason being (per my last meeting with USCC corp) "We don't want those people (meaning the ones with deposits) as US Cellular customers."

that's the stand that all the providers take. however, if they are willing to pay that 400 deposit, then the company gets a little something no matter what happens. of course verizon still has $1000 deposits in some markets i believe.
