I have seen the light!! E911 Policy

Start investing in USCC NOW!!!

After further investigation into this via the confidential USCC E911 policy, as well as interdepartmental policy and private memo's, I believe that USCC IS indeed up to something nefarious.

I believe that within the next 6 months USCC will be acquired by one of the other major carriers. I believe (from what I have seen IN WRITTING) that they are currently in talks that will eventually lead to the buy-out of their customer base.

They need as many customers in contract as they can get to raise the bottom line. Any of you who actually work for USCC (Not agents) look deeper into the policy........You will see what I see....

I was talking with some people pretty high up on the Verizon totem pole and I told them I was with USCC and one of they guys said soon to be Verizon. I asked him what he meant by that and he said that I will find out in a couple of months.

While I don't think a merger will happen in the near future, I believe someone will buyout USCC eventually. But if Verizon Wireless acquires USCC, they might not get to keep USCC's Chicago market due to it being a PCS area, and USCC's Chicago market was part of the old Primeco network, and Verizon chose to divest Primeco's Chicago market in 1999 or 2000 after GTE & Bell Atlantic merged, when GTE acquired Ameritech Cellular (before the GTE/Bell Atlantic merger) & Bell Atlantic acquired Primeco (before the merger). Maybe times are different now, but back then, both networks (Primeco & Ameritech) were PCS only and Verizon wasn't allowed to keep both networks. Wisconsin would be a great addition for Verizon as it would fill in coverage in the...

Although I am only a customer of USCC, but aren't the CDMA USCC/Verizon phones capable of using the PCS service? I know there is an area about two hours north of my house where i get local roam on Sprint. I also thought that is what the "tri-mode" ment.

Yes, USCC & Verizon phones use both the PCS & cellular bands. Both services have cellular & PCS coverage, though Verizon has more PCS than USCC. Sprint is PCS only. As for tri-mode phones, they have cellular & PCS digital & cellular analog. All-digital phones have cellular & PCS only, which are referred to as dual-band phones. Regardless of service, you want a phone that uses both PCS & cellular. That way where one market might use cellular...

"IN WRITING???" I see lots of stuff in writing every day that I don't put too much faith into, like the local paper.

I'm not in any way saying that I think you are incorrect, but there isn't much in your post to lend any credibility to your statements.

Either you have too much spare time on your hands or you're really connected. Why don't you go fishing or something. I'm going to call Martha Stewart and see if she's heard anything now. Have a nice day! 🙂

Any company is going to do what they can to raise the bottom line, regardless of talks of a buy out or not.

Why would USCC be spending hundreds of millions of dollars on enhancing the network, the exsisting network, no new markets this year...if they are selling out?

Ill believe it when I see it.

I personally wish they would spend more time adding new markets, and not so much $$ on adding new features like speed-talk, etc.

How about towers in the middle of markets that are "covered" I'm sure it would make about 250 customers that live in my town very happy!....

USCC is a publicly traded company. We aren't "owned" by any one person/company. TDS does own most of the stocks, this is true, but everything can be bought for a certain price.

This WILL happen; its only a matter of time...and from the way they've been running things lately, I'd like to see it happen sooner than later.

Oh, and by the way, they aren't making customers sign contracts to get this phone pricing anymore if they got the initial E911 letter. So that seems to destroy your theory.

supposedly they get reverted back to their previous contract, I find it funny that USC changed their tune no more than our investigative department at the TV station I work for got wind of this story....USC quickly said everyone would get 5 dollar credits, new phones, and would not have to sign a new contract...

I can see the possibility of a buyout for the simple fact that usc is trying to do so much that they will be in a perfect place for verizon to make a move. We already partner with them why not expand on the relationship and give ownership but keep the same name. A lot of businesses do it and things work great. I think if the two did combine it would be worth it. With the extra coverage that verizon and usc would gain, plus usc being able to expand, ti would be a win win situation.

i deffinatley could see uscc getting baught. i worked in the iowa call center for over 3 years. i was making over 16.00 an hour. they came up with false charges and fired me. i was flat told they had no proof i did anything wrong but thats the way bussiness works. now there have been over 20 people fired in the past few weeks. most all in the higher departments making way more than cs associates.they are firing people from that call center any chance they get. then they were sent an email by jack telling them not to believe anything they read in the paper about any financial issues. the next day i got a letter from my current employer who goes through uscc stating we might be switching to verizon in the near future at uscc's expense due to t...
