Which U.S. Cellular phone has the best reception and sound quality?

I live in S.E. Wisconsin. I currently have Verizon but that contract expires in thirty days. I'm currently testing a U.S. Cellular V262. I not very impressed with it. The sound quality sounds muffled to me. What do you recommend for good reception and sound quality? I tried Verizon's LG 4750. It's not a pretty phone but it had great sound quality and a great speaker phone (speaker faces front). I don't need the the push to talk feature of U.S. Cellular's LG 4750.

Thanks.

Go with the Samsung. It's an all around decent phone.

If you wanna see a nice Samsung phone, click on Sprint and check out the MM-A920. Now there's a nice phone. Problem is I like US Cellulars plans and coverage best. Life is full of compromises I guess.

I have a Moto 710 right now, but once we get our Razr's in tomorrow then I'm on to the Razr. The Samsung is another good one to think about.

I bought the RAZR and returned it 2 days later. When talking there is a bad echo and a hissing sound that comes out of the ear piece. Its also a mile wide. I am now using the Samsung and its an all around decent phone.

I agree the Samsung is a good phone, but just be aware that it is digital only, and so if you get into an analog service area, it will not work!

I would strongly say, ditch the Moto 262. If you want good sound quality then maybe try a Nokia or a Kyocera Candid. The 710 has awesome reception, but it sounds like you're not wanting to pay that much, so I'd say go for the Candid- it's a solid phone, decent price and good quality by Kyocera for once.

Another vote for the Samsung.
Don't worry about the "digital only" scare tactics. Trust me: if you're in a poor service area, you wouldn't even want to deal with analog mode.

Am I correct:

The Samsung SCH-a670 is a Dual Mode (band) phone???

The Motorola V262 is a Tri Mode (band) phone???

Which is better? Dual or Tri Mode (band) ???

I have to decide if I want to keep the Motorola V262 or get a different phone.

Thanks.

tri mode is different depending on the region you are in, i do not know our analog tower coverage, you will get better coverage with a tri mode phone, yes. but analog is not going to be around much longer.

If you can wait a month the v363/5 will be out and that is a nice upgrade over the V262 for about the same money.
They are both triband phones and that technically should give you better range but USCC is getting rid of its...
