okay well i live in the eastern panhandle of west virginia and last night i did the *228 thing and my phone went to 1xev then about 5 minutes later it went away and i cant get it to come back. 😳

They are probably just testing it right now at night when not many people are on the network. I live in Iowa we have evdo now but when they were testing to make sure it worked everywhere i had the same think happen got ev for a bit, but not long. So I would be happy, you might be getting evdo real soon!
