Tethered Modem

I see that US Cellular is wanting to change 15 dollars a month on the smartphone plan. that's Crazy. I have been using mine like this for over a year and not paied anything extera. How would they know your doing that unless you use it all the time?

everyone else charges for it so now us cellular does (verizon charges 30.00 a month)

I would say they can monitor usage and if it is obvious they will bust you. It is diffrent data usage connecting through tethering so it could show up if they did an audit.

second bust= could equal data service termination for period of time

the way i understand it is the chunks of data being transfered are a lot larger when you are tethered vs when you are just on the bb; as stated before- if there is an audit done= they can tell the difference= they make you pay for the tethering anyway.
